Cleaning up the Backyard

Your backyard should be somewhere that you can relax and unwind. Knowing how to organize and clean your backyard can help maintain the peaceful getaway you need!

To begin make sure you have enough time to begin tackling this large project! Prepare for physical work. If your backyard clean up has not been done in a long time, take your time.

If it’s hot and sunny out ensure you are wearing sunscreen, a hat, and light clothing. If you are doing yard work in the winter months dress in layers!

Get rid of any garbage that has built up in your yard. Bring a large garbage bag out with you to eliminate branches, leaves, and other waste. Focus on getting rid of the large waste first! Trim hedges and shrubs that require some attention. Tackle your flower beds by getting rid of weeds and watering your plants.

Eliminate small waste from the yard and prepare your grass for mowing if you are cleaning in the summer. Pick up any toys or chairs so you can cut the grass without objects in the way. Once your yard is clear, mow the lawn. After completion sweep any walk ways that may have become covered in grass.

For most homeowners this will conclude the work that needs done in the yard. Some homeowners may have a shed that needs organized, a pool that needs cleaned, or more maintenance to take care of. The longer you wait to clean your yard the harder it will be when you finally tackle the task. Keep your lawn and garden maintenance up so it isn’t as major of a job!

See how Steamatic Canada is changing lives

Judy and I were very impressed by Donna and Dave and the other staff at Steamatic and with the subcontractors they arranged to do the work. Everything was done professionally to quality standards and with minimum disruption. The repairs are now all complete. Overall, Judy and I appreciate the prompt and trouble-free way in which the claim has been handled and are very satisfied with the resulting repairs. Thank you for your consideration in helping us get through a stressful situation. Best Regards,

Peter - Steamatic Avalon
