- Mix 2 gallons of hot water with 2 cups of household ammonia and 1 cup of powdered dish soap.
- Dip your mop in the mixture and flood the old waxed floor, then scrub gently. You may have to go over any corners as they require special attention in this process.
- After you have scrubbed, dry the floor using old towels then rinse the floor with warm water and sponge dry it.
- When you are done cleaning the old way your floor will be ready for a new coat of wax.
