Cleaning with Kids

Organization can help! Chances are your kids have gotten so much stuff that things will not fit into the available storage. The first thing you should do is go through and donate toys that are broken, or no longer get played with.

With some simple organization the playroom can go from a messy catastrophe to a manageable space. Invest in storage bins and organize. Separate barbies from stuffed animals, games from doll houses, and crafts from books. Label the bins in accordance to what is stored inside. Once all of the toys and games are sorted clean the room! Carpet clean, vacuum, or mop the floors.

By organizing your play room your kids will be able to put their toys and crafts away once they are done playing. You can teach them what toys go in which bin. Implementing a rule that they can only play with a few things at a time is also beneficial. This way Dr. Seuss books don’t get left behind on the floor with beading crafts and barbie dolls. Encourage your kids to keep a tidy play room so that none of their toys or games go missing! Help them to clean up a few times so they can get in the habit of routinely cleaning up. They will be able to complete the task once they know what is expected of them.

See how Steamatic Canada is changing lives

We are very happy with the repairs and with Avalon Steamatic. Your team is fantastic! From the initial survey and analysis of the damage by Dave, to Kevin’s team with their excellent carpentry and cabinet making skills, to the excellent work by the cleaning staff, and to your readily accessible self, keeping us in the loop on everything – we were in good hands, and we thank you. I’m pretty sure this was our second time around (second water damage) claim that your company looked after, and it was reassuring to have such a professional company restore our property. We would certainly recommend Avalon Steamatic for anyone going through a similar experience.
