Gatineau, March 12, 2024 – The President of Steamatic Canada, Mrs. Nancy Raymond, is proud to announce the opening of a third franchise in the Outaouais region. Steamatic Gatineau joins Steamatic Buckingham Petite-Nation and Steamatic Haute Gatineau, and becomes part of the forty franchises across the country.
The two new co-owners of Steamatic Gatineau, Christian Desellier and Olivier Cinq-Mars, are seasoned and recognized entrepreneurs in the business community of Gatineau. Their complementary experiences will be greatly appreciated by clients.
Mr. Desellier brings over 20 years of experience in the field of post-disaster restoration. He has been on the ground during natural disasters in Gatineau in 2024, 2011, 2014, 2017, and 2018. He has been involved in numerous post-disaster restoration projects.
With 23 years as a business owner, Mr. Cinq-Mars brings his expertise in management and diverse knowledge in construction. For 18 years, he operated in the recycling and essential oil production industry. For the past 15 years, Mr. Cinq-Mars has been a business owner in general renovation, handling several insurance files in reconstruction.
Finally, since 2018, both entrepreneurs have been leading Drain et Fissure de l’Outaouais, a company specialized in excavation, foundation repair, waterproofing, drain replacement, excavation, and other related works.
“We could not have hoped for better than Christian and Olivier as new franchisees for the Gatineau territory. Their expertise on the ground is an invaluable asset, and their many years of experience in the post-disaster and construction industry make them the most qualified team to assist and support the population of Gatineau,” said Mrs. Raymond.

Gatineau, March 8, 2024 – In honour of International Women’s Day, Steamatic Canada President Nancy Raymond wishes to reiterate that women have their place in the construction industry.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2024 is “Invest in women: Accelerate progress.” It’s a reminder that gender equality is one of the most effective ways of building healthier, more inclusive communities.
With some forty franchises across the country, Steamatic Canada hires hundreds of women, many of whom hold leadership positions within franchises or are in decision-making roles. Over the past five years, Steamatic’s recruitment of female employees has increased by more than 50%. Some are administrative professionals, but many are project managers, technicians and workers.
“At Steamatic, we take pride in having women who engage directly with our clients, not only in handling and managing cases but also in leading franchise operations. Our work environment is safe and allows for incredible development,” said Ms. Raymond, emphasizing that Steamatic Canada is driven by the desire to increase the number of women in its workforce in the coming years, while ensuring their retention and professional development.
Last February, Ms. Raymond took part in the Sommet Atypique, organized by Option Femmes, which aims to highlight non-traditional professions for women by offering a unique, hands-on experience. Ms. Raymond was invited to take part in a panel discussion on the theme of “Leadership au féminin”.
