    STEAMATIC CANADA’S PRESIDENT, NANCY RAYMOND, WILL TAKE PART IN THE UPCOMING LEUCAN SHAVED HEAD CHALLENGE

    Steamatic Canada is committed to matching the amount received until the objective is reached

    As part of the 2021 edition of Leucan’s Shaved Head Challenge, presented by Proxim, Steamatic Canada’s President, Nancy Raymond, will participate in this major charity event and will have her head shaved for the good cause on Sunday, March 28, 2021.

    Since the first edition of the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge in 2001, more than $63 million has been raised by nearly 100,000 participants. The funds raised through this event have allowed Leucan to improve their services offered to families and to provide financial assistance to survivors suffering from serious after-effects of treatment.

    “I was approached by Leucan last year to participate in the Shaved Head Challenge, but my first reaction was to refuse for various reasons. After careful consideration, I decided to accept the challenge and on March 28th, I will have my head shaved,” explains Ms. Raymond. I have a young cousin, Jade, who was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and I followed her battle closely. She was strong, determined, resilient and a real fighter. She has since won her battle and is now in remission. »

    “For Jade, for her parents Manon and Dominique, for her sisters, for all the children and families affected in one way or another by this cause, I decided to jump into the adventure,” continued, Ms. Raymond. Encourage me and encourage Leucan, who needs our support to continue to offer a quality of life to all our young cancer patients.”

    Ambitious in both her professional and personal life, Ms. Raymond has set a goal of raising at least $50,000 for the cause.
