    Estimate Writer – National Estimating Team

    Reporting to the VP of National Operations, the Estimate Writer works within our National Estimating Team, as a Subject Matter Expert preparing accurate, insurer compliant estimates within Xactimate and CoreLogic for upload within required timeframes.

    Job Duties

    • Create detailed and accurate estimates for emergency, rebuild and contents in Xactimate and CoreLogic using a docusketch 3d tour in conjunction with the Project Manager scope notes and/or daily crew documentation and following Steamatic National Standards and insurer specific estimating guidelines
    • Regular communication with Project Managers and other key stakeholders within Steamatic Franchises
    • Revise and upload estimates as per the reviewer’s and Project Manager’s requirements and where necessary, provide responses to reviewers
    • Maintain National Estimating Standards and Best Practices as it relates to internal guidelines as well as specific insurer guidelines
    • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
    • Comply with all Steamatic National policies and guidelines
    • Periodically required to assist with training when designated by their manager

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Previous experience in Insurance Restoration is mandatory
    • Extensive experience and thorough knowledge of Xactimate, Xactanalysis and CoreLogic
    • Extensive experience and thorough knowledge of National Insurer Protocols, as well as some knowledge of Regional Insurer Protocols
    • IICRC certification: Water, Fire & Smoke, Odour Control
    • Highly organized, accurate and efficient
    • Minimum of a basic knowledge of home construction
    • Ability to work independently, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Capable of consistently meeting specific timelines
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Intermediate to advanced computer experience with Microsoft Office programs
    • Understanding that we are a 24/7 operation, must be willing to work evenings, on call and weekends and/or during periods of influx, as needed to meet deadlines
    • Periodic travel may be required
    • Must be bilingual
    • Criminal Record Check
